WELLNESS & HEALTHY LIVING

Continuing our Wellness Journey - Feeling
This week our journey focuses on Feeling, the 6th of 12 keys to wellness in the Wellness Inventory. We experience feelings and emotions from well before the event of our birth. They can be intense, or frightening, or wonderful. They can also be the most misunderstood, and consequently mistreated, gifts we have as human beings. We judge them, repress them, discount them, drug them, worship them, and run from them. Yet, what a bore to be without them! Life fully lived is life filled with feeling!     View more

MIND-BODY-SPIRIT

Spiritual Wellness - "At the Heart of Paradox" - Philip Goldberg, Ph.D.
Anyone who takes his or her spiritual life seriously will, from time to time, dance at the heart of paradox. Along the path - any path - we inevitably run into forks in the road, marked by what appear to be contradictions and ambiguities. Our points of certainty and uncertainty shift. Yesterday's soul-shifting revelation is today's enigma and tomorrow's rubbish. And today's rubbish turns miraculously into tomorrow's revelation. As detectives trying to solve the mysteries of the soul, these uncertain conditions can make us feel more like Inspector Clouseau than Columbo.
